Our farm is 102 acres of rolling terrain in South Central Indiana. The farm land was originally owned by my husband?s grand parents over 100 years ago. His parents lived here most of their married life as well. It was farmed as a row crop, corn, soybean farm until we moved here in 1991. We believe that we are stewards of our land and responsible for providing an environmentally safe future for our children. So, gone are the days of spraying Round-up and planting with lots of fertilizers. We use only natural products on our land and our sheep, horses, dogs and peacocks.
We shear our sheep two times a year and I process the wool into hand-spun yarn myself. If you would like to see or purchase some of my wool product click here.

We use a small gelded Donkey and Great Pyrenees Dogs to protect our sheep herd. They ?double team? any predator that steps a toe into our paddocks and have killed many coyotes, foxes and even a hawk that was after a day old lamb! We raise Great Pyrenees puppies for sale as well. We do not ship our puppies though. To view puppies for sale click here.
We raise peacocks too. Mostly for their feathers that I sell at the Bloomington Farmers Market and make fishing baits and felted crafts from.
Our Icelandic Sheep are our pride and joy. We choose sheep because they are easier on the land and eat more of the natural vegetation grown here than cattle or goats. They are also lighter on the soil and make great natural fertilizers!
We love our horses too. We have Sam, a wonderful Tennessee Walker gelding and Gallagher, our Gypsy Vanner gelding. Both are friendly and attentive, good for trails around the farm or taking a small child around our round pen.
Our farm tour is not complete, but at least you get a taste of our life. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.
